NAET also known as Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique is a non-invasive, drug-free, natural solution to eliminating allergies of all types. Developed by Devi Nambudripad in November 1983, NAET utilizes a blend of specific energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from Oriental Medicine, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiology to treat allergies.
From a Western perspective, an allergy is an overreaction by the immune system. In NAET allergies are viewed from a holistic perspective, based on Oriental Medicine principles. An allergy is a condition of unusual sensitivity of one person to one or more substances that may be harmless to the majority of people. In the allergic person the allergic substance is viewed by the brain as a threat to the body’s well-being. Therefore in the case of NAET, an allergy is defined in terms of what it does to the energy flow in the body. Allergies are a result of energy imbalances in the body, leading to a diminished state of health in one or more organ systems.
When contact is made with an allergen, it causes blockages in the energy flow through pathways called meridians. The allergen essentially blocks the normal flow of energy through the body’s electrical circuits. This energy blockage causes interference in communication between the brain and the body via the nervous system. This blocked energy is the first step in the chain of events which can develop into an allergic response.
With NAET the allergies are treated (cleared) one at a time in a specific order. One visit is usually needed to clear one allergen. An individual with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take approximately 15-20 office visits to desensitize 15-20 food and environmental allergens.
