Thai Massage

Thai Massage is great for anyone who is on an exercise regimen, involved in an athletic sport, undergoing a detox program, or just feeling joint stiffness and muscle soreness.

Also known as Nuad Boran, Thai Yoga, or Yoga Massage, this is a highly revered form of medical massage that has been practiced in Thailand for many centuries.

Thai massage involves energy work similar to that found in Japanese Shiatsu and Chinese Acupuncture.  Energy lines in Thai massage are known as Sen lines.  Treating these sen lines may release blockages, treat certain conditions, increase energy and overall well-being.

The stretches found in Thai Massage resemble that of Hatha Yoga and give the benefits of increase range of motion and joint flexibility, relieves muscular tension/stiffness, supplies blood and oxygen to muscles decreasing muscle soreness, enhances flow of energy, enhances athletic performance, and helps prevent injury.

Thai Massage is different from typical western massage in that it is done on the floor or table, client is fully clothed in loose fitting clothes, no oils or creams are used and a typical session can last anywhere between 1 ½ - 3 hrs.
