Applied kinesiology
Applied kinesiology is a form of diagnoses utilizing muscle testing as a primary feedback method to examine how a person’s body is functioning. When properly applied, the outcome of applied kinesiology will determine the best treatment for the client. Dr. Goodheart has been credited for utilizing kinesiology beginning in 1964. His observation that a weak muscle could be strengthened began the study of treatments that could strengthen muscles. It was named kinesiology because it was the study of motion, movement, and muscle function. It was termed applied kinesiology because the application of kinesiology was not the discipline of standard kinesiology.
